Editor Panel – Logic Tab

The Logic tab provides a centralized view of all logic rules configured within your questionnaire. Instead of reviewing each question individually, you can use this tab to view, manage, and update all questionnaire conditions and triggers from a single location. As questionnaires become more complex, the Logic tab makes it easier to understand how questions interact with one another, verify routing rules, and maintain conditional logic throughout the questionnaire.

Accessing the Logic Tab

To open the Logic tab:

1. Open your questionnaire in the Editor Panel.
2. Click the Logic tab located at the top of the page.

The Logic tab displays every condition and trigger that has been created for the current questionnaire.

Viewing Questionnaire Logic

The Logic tab provides a consolidated list of all logic rules applied throughout the questionnaire. Depending on your questionnaire configuration, this may include:

• Display (Visibility) Conditions
• Skip Logic
• Enable/Disable Conditions
• Required Conditions
• Custom Variables
• Calculated Expressions
• Triggers

This centralized view allows you to quickly review the questionnaire’s behavior without opening each question individually.

Managing Conditions

If you have added conditions to questions or questionnaire elements, they will appear in the Logic tab. From this page, you can:

• View existing conditions
• Edit condition rules
• Delete conditions
• Create new conditions

Using a centralized list helps ensure that your questionnaire logic remains consistent and easy to maintain.

Managing Triggers

Triggers are also displayed in the Logic tab. Triggers automatically perform actions when specified conditions are met. Depending on your questionnaire design, triggers may be used to:

• Set question values
• Complete the questionnaire
• Skip respondents to another page
• Display messages
• Execute other automated questionnaire actions

You can review and modify trigger settings directly from the Logic tab.

Adding New Logic

The Logic tab is not only for reviewing existing logic—it also allows you to create new logic rules. From this page, you can add:

• New conditions
• New triggers

After creating a new rule, it becomes part of the questionnaire’s overall logic and is listed alongside the existing rules for easy management.

Editing Existing Logic

As your questionnaire evolves, you may need to update existing logic. The Logic tab allows you to quickly locate a rule and modify it without navigating through multiple questionnaire pages. Common updates include:

• Changing condition criteria
• Updating referenced questions
• Modifying trigger actions
• Adjusting routing behavior
• Removing obsolete logic

After saving your changes, the updated logic is applied throughout the questionnaire.
